Using ACER eRECOVERY MANAGEMENT UTILITY

These are the steps in creating a back-up copy of your whole system (the current status of your computer).

This is used when you have Acer laptops.
1. Boot to windows
2. Press and hold Alt then tap F10 for several times while the computer is booting up or turning on (until you see the Acer eRecovery Management Utility, sometimes merely pressing F10 will do the trick)
3. It will ask you to enter the password (the default is 6 zeroes)
4. Select recovery settings, click Next
5. Select Back-up snapshot image, Next
6. Select Back-up to HDD or Back-up to CD/DVD, Next (which ever you prefer, I prefer you use CD/DVD)

HOW TO CREATE FACTORY DEFAULT IMAGE CD? It's very easy.
1. Perform steps 1-4 from above.
5. Select Burn Image to Disk, Next
6. Select Factory Default Image (it will include Operating System, OS)
or Application CD, Next (this is not bootable since its only an application cd)
7. Follow screen

For tower computers (or Desktop computers)
1. Press Alt+F10 while booting up.
2. Select Edit Boot Options
3. Select "Restore to Factory Defaults"
4. The password to use is PQSERVICE
5. You're done.

...to end: count then share your blessings to others...

1 comment:

  1. Acer can build a leaner, commodity based services offering to be an interesting competitor.
