Dual core vs Core2Duo

Sounds the same right? Wrong. People are confused especially those who are not technically inclined which of the two is which. So am I, before. Dual core basically 2 processors but in a single package/socket. It has twice the speed comparing to past processors. Both are names of processors created by Intel.

DUAL CORE CORE 2 DUO
1. First generation of dual core processors based on Pentium M 1. Core 2 Duo is the second generation of Dual core
2. Both Intel and AMD produce dual core processor 2. Intel name its dual core procs as Core 2 Duo
3. E2140 runs at 1.6 GHz with 1 MB L2 and 800 MHz FSB, E2160 with 1.8 GHz with 1MB L2 and 800 MHz FSB 3. L2 (2MB-6MB) clock speed (1.06 GHz -3.16 GHz)

...to end: count then share your blessings to others...
