How to delete a printer port for assigning a new one

For some reason, you wanted to install the same printer to your computer but your computer is still using the same IP address that you set up with the printer before, and without installing a fresh copy of the printer's driver and software, you will not maximize the potential of your printer. So here's the way:

1. Go to Printers and Faxes in Control Panel
2. Right click on the white space in the window
3. Select Server Properties
4. Go to Ports tab
5. Select the port number that you wanted to delete, then Delete.

That's easy!
Another solution is by going through the registry:

1. Start, Run, type regedit
2. Follow the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>SYSTEM>>ControlSet001>>Control>>Print>>Monitors>>Standard>>TCP/IP Port>>Ports\

How to share a network printer without the printer's IP

If you want to share your printer to other computers in the network do this:
1. Install the printer into your computer first
2. Assign an IP address to the printer (this method is not explained here)
2. Connect the printer to the network with an ethernet cable (even if the printer don't have an IP Address that's fine (it will be explained here)
3. Share your printer by: going to control panel, printers and faxes, right click on the desired printer, Properties, Share tab, Share this printer, type a unique name for the printer
4. Make your computer available to the network too (have DHCP or static IP Address)

Now we're ready.
5. On the second computer, go to Ctrl Panel >> Printers and Faxes >> Add a Printer
6. On the prompt window, Next
7. Select Local printer attached to this computer, Next
8. Create a new port
9. On the dropdown, select Local Port, Next
10. Enter a port name: "\\computer name\unique name of the printer"
11. OK

The computer name is the first computer where you installed the printer. You can find it by right clicking on My computer, Properties, Computer Name Tab, Full computer name.
