There is a quick tool for you to use in making a website short. This is a very useful tool especially if you are on the phone (as a technical support guy or as an agent) and always giving out website addresses to your clients phonetically.
An example of this is this website: it would be very hard to spell this to your customer,

ld&tag=404&searchtype=downloads
but when you used this website, http://tinyurl.com, you can make it shorter, into this
http://tinyurl.com/neyhga
Both URLS will open the same webpage. And you can write it on the address bar shorter.
